No its not...
Steam collects data about what programs you have installed, but I admit doesn't tailor advertising with the data they collect

Don't know when I will be getting this, as I have a complete lack of money right now. I also have my doubts about whether I'll like it, as I've never liked the Battlefield series. First ones were laggy, BC2 took an ungodly amount of bullets to kill someone, and I dislike tanks.

Hey guys,
It's Camo_Flage.
It has been awhile since I have talked to any of you.
Except I did play with someone on BFBC2 some time back when I was playing under Fr33K77.
Anyway I'll be definitely getting Battlefield 3 so I'll see you on there and mumble when it comes out.

Awesome Camo, and good to see you pop by :)

I'm getting my rage suit on for this one, if that is possible...

Ok... do you want to know something?

The Beta for pc is apparantly ready.
But um... well...

[Translated] Regarding the beta on PC, it is ready, but many require a beta preparations, DICE is working to accelerate these preparations with Microsoft and Sony. Once these are completed, the beta will begin.

This guy makes me rage, because he doesn't know how to control the game at all. Still, some console single player footage. Tonight there will be the second part of The Gulliotine Trailer, pumped for that.

Word from gamesfest is that the Beta has passed certification through all console guys, apparantly sony were taking the longest. It's up to Dice to flick the switch and we can play :o

Yes it's that close.

If you preordered in September, you can ask for Deadspace 2 for free :)
DAMN THERE ARE TOO MANY GAMES OUT!

To do it, open up a chat support. The easiest way to do this is install origin. Then Click on the top right Help icon next to the gears. Then in the top right of that window - live support! Pretty nifty.

If you don't believe me, here is the Chat transcript I just done.

Jesse:
Thank you for contacting Origin Help. My name is Jesse. How may I assist you today?
you:
Hello Jesse :)
you:
I have just preordered Battlefield 3 this week and am very excited for it to come out
you:
However I have noticed that there are ads for the preorder to come with the Mass Effect 2 as well?
Jesse:
Would you mind linking me to where you're seeing this?
you:
ill just have to find the site again, hold on
you:
Oh sorry the game wasn't mass effect, it was dead space 2, I'll still look for the ad though
you:
http://www.vg247.com/2011/09/17/pre-ord ... ce-2-free/
Jesse:
May I have your email as well as first and last name?
you:
ok, my name is Brett James
you:
and i'm not sure what my current origin email address is, I think its myemail
Jesse:
Thank you.
Jesse:
Do you mind if I take a moment to review your account?
you:
Sure thing, and thank you
Jesse:
You're welcome.
Jesse:
I have applied the game to your account.
you:
Oh thank you!
Jesse:
Do you require further assistance?
you:
No that is it, thank you so much :)

Damn I ordered through JBHiFi, meh I don't mind that much. I'm surprised they were helpful, normally they say they'll fix something then I get disconnected and put at the back of their queue again...

When the Beta comes out, if we release a few good bf3 beta frag videos and about the game videos that would be really good promotion?

Now recruiting!
http://www.clanheat.com.au

H*EA*T is a well known and respected part of the battlefield community having played over 70 competitive Battlefield 2 games and more than 25 bad company 2 competitive games.

We would like a bunch of people to join with the intention to help form multiple teams. We are looking for both players who are competitive for the CG Ladders in various game type, as well as players looking to just have fun on the public servers, old school Battlefield style.

Team sizes will naturally be based around the ladders being played on. For the players wanting to be competitive, you will be required to attend for practice matches and help contribute to squad work.

Moar!
For more information, please visit our new website at http://www.clanhheat.com.au

The website itself also features a lot of Battlefield news and other random news.

Age:
Although we are flexible with ages of players joining, we do require them to be able to behave maturely. On top of that, an 18 year old joining us will have meant they would have been 12 when Battlefield 2 first came out, and that makes me feel old :P

Looking forward to play with the other teams coming back out of the woodwork for Battlefield!

Some achievements:

- Semi finalists in BC2: SquadRush ladder
- Top 10 result last season for BC2:Conquest ladder
- Have been running for over 5 years

Not yet, But I think we now know the url it will be unveiled on:
http://bf3beta.battlefield.com/

It works! is the typical message when a Apache server is just configured... so their setting things up..

Also, there is a start date now for one of the tournaments:
http://earlydeployment.eventbrite.com/? ... _bf3_email

If you are to believe that start time is the beta start time, then it will be the 26th September
