Yeah as per header, am thinking of going back to running dual cards. As I play BF3 mostly, can anyone running SLi tell me if it's worth running two cards or not? Currently, I can only run graphics on low otherwise the game crashes all the time. Will the two cards let me run high detail or not?

What is the specs of your current pc, and graphics card?

CPU is an i750, have 12Gb RAM, and GPU is a 580.

I used to have good fps with my 480 but on close quarters ive toned everything done to medium (from Ultra) possibly there will be a patch to fix something?

damn i've got a x9770, 8gb ram (slow speed) and 2x 4870's(not sure if properly cross-fired) and i can run higher than low (fps is too low for my liking though.

I can run at ultra but eventually it crashes.

I'm actually in process of re-installing windows as I've had another case of a windows update corrupting my PC. Hopefully I get back up and running easily and quickly.

Bit the bullet, now running two 670s in Sli!

Awesome. I hear they scale pretty close to 100% make sure you keep up to date with the latest drivers though, they always contain SLI tweaks and profiles.

I always update my nvidia drivers!

So how well are they running?

I am now running BF3 video settings in "Ultra" without crashing the game compared to running "Medium" settings with only one 670 and previously "Low" settings with a 590. The difference awesome.
